**The Role**
AGSVA is undertaking organisational transformation to be able to meet the current and future security and demand of Defence and Government within a complex security environment.

To support organisational transformation, AGSVA is seeking a highly motivated APS 6 Assurance Officer to join the Business Assurance team within the AGSVA Capability & Coordination directorate. Within the team, you will require the ability to operate and produce high quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

The duties of the role include:

- Conducting Assurance activities that are evidence based through AGSVA’s systems and business processes.
- Managing assurance initiatives on the effectiveness of controls in key risk areas through analysis of data sets from multiple sources of information.
- Provide recommendations and insights for implementation through responsibility of investigating fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Project manage continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supporting executives to manage enterprise-level and operational-level business risks through the identification, analysis and reporting on the effectiveness of controls for key organisational risks.
- Provide team support in other functions of the directorate.
- Communicate effectively to liaise with a large and diverse stakeholder group.

**About our Team**
AGSVA is the central agency for the processing and granting of security clearances for the majority of Australian Government agencies and state and territory agencies. The Directorate of AGSVA Capability and Coordination performs functions across the AGSVA enterprise such as business capabilities - business planning, business improvement and business assurance; committee secretariat; and workforce capabilities - strategy, service delivery of AGSVA skilling programs, workforce modelling and planning.

The Business Assurance team is responsible for functions within AGSVA such as Annual Reporting, Enterprise Risk, Governance and Assurance, secretariat functions, and providing capability emerging from Projects across the Enterprise.

Working in a small, geographically dispersed team as an APS6 Assurance Officer within AGSVA, you will be expected to undertake work using critical thinking, sound judgement and assessment methodology, and will be an active contributor in the operation and development of the team’s assurance, capability, and coordination functions.

- Previous experience in roles managing branch/organisational risk, governance or assurance functions and capabilities.
- The ability to work with autonomy, manage priorities, and achieve results.
