Doris Blackburn Preschool has been providing quality, affordable education for 4 year old and 3 year old children in the local area nearly 80 years. We are an independent, community-based Centre that encourages our children to engage in a play-based program making their learning meaningful, relevant, interesting and imaginative. Doris Blackburn Preschool is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children in our care. We are committed to the safety, participation and empowerment of all children. **Work Days of the Role**

Thursday and Friday

**Hours of Work of the Role**

18.25 hours per week. Contact 14 hrs. Non-contact 3.75 hrs. staff Meeting 0.5 hrs Session times Monday & Thursday 8.30am - 4.00pm

**Description**
- To be familiar with the National Quality Standard (NQS) and associated learning frameworks.
- Appropriate understanding and knowledge of early childhood development.
- The ability to provide a developmentally appropriate educational program in partnership with the early childhood teacher and parents.
- Ability to plan, reflect, work and manage time effectively with mínimal supervision.
- Be a positive role model to children.
- Ability to ensure confidentiality of information
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) and confidence to engage with a diverse range of people
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate a positive work culture and be solution focused in thinking and practice
- Confidence using technology
- Knowledge of Child Safety Standards, Reportable Conduct Scheme, Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting obligations.

**Qualifications**

Essential requirements

Hold an approved Diploma level qualification, or be actively working towards a qualification in accordance with the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 and the Education and Care Services National Regulations.
