**About the Opportunity**

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to lead the payroll division in a role that sees them as part of a broader finance team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Payroll Manager is responsible for managing the payroll for Group's Victorian, Queensland, NSW and South Australian branches. In this role you will become a part one of Australia's leading window and door manufacturers and suppliers to the domestic building sector and will be an exciting opportunity for those looking for their next challenge.
**About the Responsibilities**

Duties will include but not be restricted to:

- Processing end to end payroll of approx 500 employees - weekly pay-runs for 5 entities
- Setting up of new employees in payroll, employee self-service, time and attendance and superannuation systems
- Processing leave requests and overtime/allowances calculations, and generation of payroll journal
- Calculation of termination payments and preparation of termination paperwork
- Accrual calculations and reconciliation of Annual Leave (Direct and Indirect labour), RDOs and Long Service Leaves
- Monthly Income Protection, Wage Subsidies and Child Support
- Calculation and reconciliation of payroll tax payments, including preparation of payroll tax journals
- Receiving and resolution of employee enquiries regarding payroll issues
- Advise management on payroll related matters including updates for payroll legislation and payroll/taxation queries and scenarios
- Ensure confidentiality of employee payroll information and compliance with legislation and quality system requirements
- Some HR administration related duties
**About You**

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:

- At least 5 years of demonstrated payroll management experience.
- **MicrOpay and Meridian **experience is essential
- Experience in managing multiple end-to-end payrolls across multiple jurisdictions
- Strong understanding of payroll principles including Award and Enterprise Agreement interpretation, NES requirements, Superannuation, and STP / Tax requirements.
- A continuous improvement mindset with proven experience implementing business process improvements
- Extensive experience working with various Payroll & Time Attendance systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.
- Understanding of State employment legislation is highly regarded

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
