**About Your Next Opportunity**:

- Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology _is now looking for a **part-time** (2 days per week) **Pathology Services Assistant **to join their **Specimen Reception Area Hub at the Ipswich Laboratory.** Shifts are Monday and Friday 10:30 - 18:30 or 11:00 - 19:00. Inclusion in a Saturday shift rotation is required. It is required that you will have the flexibility to occasionally work in a roster outside of these hours to cover leave.

Responsibilities of the position include:

- Specimen reception, test coding, data entry and distribution of specimens to the laboratories
- Packing specimens for transport
- Responding to phone enquiries, providing results and transferring calls
- Assisting with local stores and packing doctors and clinic provisions for delivery by local courier

**About You**:
Suitable applicants should be enthusiastic, possess good communication and organisational skills and have the ability to work as part of a busy and multi-tasked team.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Proven keyboard skills
- Proven ability to work as part of a professional team in a fast-paced environment
- Proven commitment to the provision of quality customer services

The successful applicant must have an understanding of or the ability to learn medical and pathology terminology, accuracy of processing, and excellent attention to detail.

Previous experience in a laboratory setting is desirable.
