Join Darebin City Council as a Strategic Project Officer - this position sits within Equity and Wellbeing Department with the portfolio of supporting and delivering a number of targeted projects and operational initiatives across the Department.

**About the Position**
The position of Strategic Project Officer will work across the Department on a range of projects and initiatives.

The role requires high level experience and skills in the delivery of projects that meet expectations within agreed scope, timeframes cost and quality.

You work will involve working collaboratively across council’s department and community partners to deliver on Council’s priorities.

**Skills and Experience**

To be successful, you will need to be able to demonstrate:

- Demonstrate experience and understanding of social justice issues in the context of local government settings.
- Knowledge of developmental, community, and strength-based principles and practices.
- The ability to work within a large organisation and develop cross functional working relationships to gain cooperation of colleagues and community organisations/partners.
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement experience, including processes for effectively mapping internal and external stakeholders and engagement across a variety of settings.
- Demonstrated understanding of the barriers that affect diverse communities in a variety of settings and contexts.
- Excellent research, project management, and evaluation skills, relating to projects and programs
- Problem-solving capabilities, including the ability to anticipate and manage risks.
