**About the role**:
Due to an internal movement Rabobank has an opening for a Business Manager in Sydney. You will join a highly engaged team who work a hybrid mix of working from home and the office. This role will report into the Region Australia New Zealand Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Rabobank’s Technology and Operations Domain / Business Unit. This Domain delivers value to clients through its teams of IT Systems, IT Infrastructure, Operations & Settlements, First Line Risk and Security, Vendor Management, Financial Integrity Unit and Continuous Improvement. The domain has 500 employees across ANZ.

You will truly be able to influence and make an impact in this broad regional role. As Business Manager, you will be integral to building, defining and communicating the strategic roadmap for the Domain and ensuring milestones remain on track while facilitating consistency of services, domain performance and overseeing strategy execution across the division. The role’s purpose is to create, in partnership with the Domain Leadership Team (LT), the strategy, annual operational business plans and track and report execution. The Business Manager supports the Chief Operating Officer and key direct reports to set the strategy and required governance ensuring that the COO Domain efforts contribute to Region Australia, New Zealand (RANZ) core strategic objectives and global priorities, and is a member of the Domain LT.

**In addition, you will**:

- Assist the COO to lead the function by facilitating execution of strategy, business management, reporting, budgeting and performance analytics
- Prepare and deliver any relevant Board Reports or other reporting to various local and global stakeholders
- Monitor execution progress of the Domain Business Plan and assist department heads with acceleration proposals where required
- Act as point of contact to Global Domain Business Management team
- In consultation with the Domain Leadership Team, lead and facilitate change initiatives, influencing Senior Leaders to operate within the bank’s guidelines and policies, as well as providing guidance and advice at all key stages to ensure timely delivery of objectives

**What you will bring to the role**:

- Extensive experience in Technology, Operations or projects teams
- Previous experience of working in business teams, diagnosing and implementing people strategies to deliver business results
- Portfolio/Project/Change delivery experience
- Sound knowledge in Project Management, Business Planning, Strategy disciplines and Continuous Improvement Methodologies (e.g., Lean six sigma)
- Ability to work collaboratively, and effectively with people at all levels in the organisation
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to plan, develop and execute strategies
- Strong organisational skills
- High level of commercial acumen
- Consulting experience highly regarded
