Forensicare is the statutory agency responsible for the provision of adult forensic mental health services across Victoria.

Position based at Ravenhall Completed in 2017, the new medium-security men's prison is located at Ravenhall Correctional Centre in Melbourne's west, providing world-class forensic mental health services in Victoria in a purpose-built state of the art facility developed to international best practice standards.

**About the Role**:
Ward Clerks across Prison Services Forensic Mental Health Services - Ravenhall Correctional Centre - provide high quality administrative support to the multi-disciplinary teams working within the service. The Ward Clerks work under the direction of the relevant Program/ Unit Manager who is responsible for the management of the area and will provide guidance on work priorities. Health Information Manager will provide Health Information support and guidance as required.

**Duties**:

- Be responsible for the efficient collation and maintenance of patient health records and information - in accordance with Forensicare and Justice Health policies, procedures and guidelines. Assist with the registration, admission and discharge of patients on the Statewide mental health computer system known as CMI/RAPID ensuring a high level of data entry accuracy.
- Maintain patient lists, and ensure all relevant documentation for admissions, transfers and separations is completed in a timely manner.
- Maintain the medical record tracking system and requests medical records as necessary.
- Attend Unit and other meetings as required, and document and distribute minutes after approval by the manager who chaired the meeting.
- Efficiently manage correspondence and telephone enquiries ensuring calls are directed to the appropriate person.

- Demonstrated ability to provide administrative assistance in a health or mental health setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Working knowledge of RAPID (Statewide mental health database).
- Keyboard speed of approximately 60 wpm.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office suite.
- Effective communication skills.
