**About Us**:
Metropolitan Remand Centre (MRC) is a maximum-security remand facility based in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne. Prisoners on remand are alleged offenders who were not bailed when charged with a crime and are awaiting the outcome of their court case.
**About the Role**:
This position requires direct prisoner contact and may involve weekend and public holiday work, remunerated in accordance with the applicable provision of the VPS Determination.
**Some of your duties will include**:
- Greeting and liaising with clients and stakeholders and provide accurate advice and information in relation to justice services in accordance with business processes.
- Delivering justice services and maintain accurate, confidential records and provide statistical reports in line with agreed standards and local operating procedures.
- Performing all administrative functions pertaining to Records at the Metropolitan Remand Centre (under supervision).

**About You**:
- Well-developed computer literacy.
- Good knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations.
- Understanding the importance of maintaining accurate records and associated legal implications of documents handed down by the courts.
