The primary responsibility of the Account Manager is to manage a portfolio of customers and drive the businesses sales strategy to achieve KPI's and exceed sales goals. You'll be supported by a Sales Manager and wider resource team and be given everything you need in order to you kick some serious goals in this outbound sales position
As an Account Manager for our client, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and developing relationships with customers in our clients automotive business. Your primary responsibility will be to understand customer needs, ensure customer satisfaction, and coordinate internally to deliver effective solutions.
**Responsibilities**:
- Customer Relationship Management
- build and maintain strong relationships with customers
- Understand customers needs, objectives, and challenges.
- Oversee and manage automotive client accounts.
- Develop account plans to achieve client and company goals
- Streamline Communication & serve as the main point of contact between clients and internal teams
- Strong communication skills to effectively ensure client expectations are met
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate solutions.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development teams.
- Understand, address and resolve client issues promptly
- Anticipate potential challenges and proactively find solutions
- Passion and knowledge for the automotive industry including trends, technologies, and market dynamics
- Support and provide clients with insights and recommendations
- Existing business-to-business (B2B) sales experience in the automotive sector; if you've sold to automotive merchant resellers event better (not essential). Products you might have previously sold include; passenger vehicles, buses, trucks, trailers, transport equipment, engine parts, vehicle body parts, tyres, oils, fluids, filtration, batteries, lighting, audio, auto-electrical, wiring, rims, wheels and connectors (not to mention some of the equipment listed above)
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in account management within the automotive industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Experience working for a retailer in a store environment selling similar equipment to customers and occasional trade customers. You must have an interest in moving into external sales and have a general understanding & love for the automotive industry.
