As the Team Leader - Outage Management & Operational Customer Relationships you’ll help create clever solutions to interesting problems as you grow your skills every day. And you’ll do it with down-to-earth people who you’re proud to work with and get to know. Here’s how:

- Lead the Outage Management team members in coordinating requests for access to Power link’s electricity transmission network and providing effective and efficient delivery of new non-regulated customer connections.
- Build and maintain effective relationships, regularly engaging with both internal & external customers and stakeholders.
- Contribute to a constructive culture by role modelling constructive behaviours & organisational safety practices when interacting with colleagues, and internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead the delivery of efficient outage management services including identification of operational impacts associated with short term requirements through to long term portfolio plans, providing advice on how the operation and configuration of the transmission network can facilitate the programs of work to be delivered to achieve the most effective outcomes for Powerlink and its stakeholders.
- Coordinate outage related activity between Network Planning / AEMO / Control room
- Champion the outage management process, providing technology and process training to stakeholders in order to align and develop user competency.
- Co-optimise requests for access to the transmission network in order to maximise network reliability and availability, and to minimise transmission impacts to the NEM and connected customers

**What you’ll bring**:

- Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Demonstrated experience in successfully leading teams
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence outcomes utilising operational and technical knowledge
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of the NEM with the ability to recognise potential NEM consequences as a result of transmission influences
- Demonstrated ability to provide advice to resolve customers issues with technical or network constraint issues

**We’d also love you to have**:

- Demonstrated ability to manage projects including developing structured team/project plans, managing and mitigating risks, monitoring progress, and effectively engaging resources
- Demonstrated ability to interpret technical and organisational information in order to make informed decisions and/or provide informed advice
- Demonstrated ability to utilise Energy Management Systems and / or other technologies to model power systems including the ability to plan and operate electrical power transmission systems within an electricity market based environment.
