**Your New Role**

Contributing innovative leadership and future focused insight, you’ll join the School of Creative Arts and Media as Head of Discipline, Art at either Academic Level C or D. Leading the strategic alignment and operational management of the Art program, this role offers the opportunity to drive the creation and implementation of a strategy to enhance research impact and teaching capacity.

In addition to contributing high-quality research of international standing, you will supervise higher degree students and lead curriculum innovation and exemplary teaching, committed to enhancing the student experience and securing student load targets.

As a contemporary and dynamic leader able to foster a positive and collaborative environment, you’ll develop outstanding academic research and teaching capability and build effective relationships within the University, the profession, industry and wider community.

**What You’ll Need to Succeed**

As a dynamic and established practice-based academic leader, your relevant PhD will be supported by a record of and ongoing commitment to research and demonstrated academic achievement commensurate with appointment to level C or D (as outlined in the position description).

Your extensive experience and excellence in teaching and learning will display your student focus, digital and blended teaching capability, course coordination and flexible multi-location teaching.

An understanding of contemporary Universities and the ability to build staff capacity and student load will support innovative leadership to sustainably grow the program and deliver strategic priorities.

Previous achievement and demonstrated success in leadership and promoting Art activities and curriculum improvements will contribute to your achievement in uplifting capability and enhancing student engagement and experience.

On offer is a full-time, ongoing opportunity at Academic Level C or D, with a 3-year concurrent leadership role as Head of Discipline. The role will be based in Hobart, with relocation assistance available. Additional staff benefits and discounts include health, fitness, accommodation, and banking to name a few.

Appointment to this role will be at Academic Level or C or D, with a base salary within the range of $126,906 - 144,122 at Level C or $152,077 - $164,905 at Level D, plus 17% superannuation
