**About the Position**
As the Principal Project Officer for Child Care Services, you will lead the development of strategic projects and policies that enhance the early years system in South Australia. Your expertise and leadership will drive the successful initiation, delivery, and evaluation of state-wide programs, ensuring they align with our vision for the future early years system. You'll collaborate with various stakeholders and agencies to ensure service reforms are integrated and effective, creating a positive impact on young learners.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead and coordinate the development of policies, programs, and strategies with a focus on user-centered design.
- Provide expert advice to deliver strategic and operational plans to achieve departmental objectives.
- Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to support families and educators.
- Manage and lead the effective implementation of major policies and projects within budget and time constraints.
**What You Bring**
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience in managing and leading the development and implementation of major policies and projects.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively liaise, consult, and negotiate at senior levels.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and develop key strategic relationships with stakeholders.
- Experience in project management of complex projects, delivering outcomes within time and budget constraints.
- High-level organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle sensitive issues and meet deadlines.
**Special Conditions**
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

**Remuneration**
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
ASO8: $119,317 - $123,822 per annum plus superannuation
