**About the role**

We have a rare opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Customer Service Officer to join our team on a permanent full time basis, for 35 hours per week.

**About you**

Along with your proven experience in providing quality customer service in a similar complex environment, your friendly nature, willingness to perform as part of a team and strong communication skills will ensure your success in this role. You will have:

- **Proven experience in the delivery of customer service in complex customer environments****:

- **A commitment to excellence in customer service****:

- **Excellent written and oral communication skills in dealing with customer contact situations****:

- **Proven call centre experience****:

- **Proven experience in customer request Management Systems****:

- **Proven experience in navigating internet based systems to gather relevant information in a timely manner****:

- **Proven experience in conflict resolution, decision making and problem solving****:

- **Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and various databases****:

- **Excellent attention to detail, accurate data entry and keyboard skills****:

- **A high level of flexibility/adaptability and initiative to handle multiple diverse tasks and work as a team player with a customer focus****:

- **Demonstrated commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity and Work Health & Safety principles***

**Desirable Criteria**

- **Front counter experience, cash handling and security awareness****:

- **Ability to effectively organise and prioritise workloads****:

- **Experience in the Authority Property System, CRM, HPE Content Manager, GIS and Outlook****:

- **Experience in Local Government and a good understanding of local government policies and practices***
