About the role


We have a rare opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Customer Service Officer to join our team on a permanent part-time basis, for 28 hours per week.


About you
Along with your proven experience in providing quality customer service in a similar complex environment, your friendly nature, willingness to perform as part of a team and strong communication skills will ensure your success in this role

You will have:

  • Proven experience in the delivery of customer service in complex customer environments
  • A commitment to excellence in customer service
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in dealing with customer contact situations
  • Proven call centre experience
  • Proven experience in customer request Management Systems
  • Proven experience in navigating internet based systems to gather relevant information in a timely manner
  • Proven experience in conflict resolution, decision making and problem solving
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and various databases
  • Excellent attention to detail, accurate data entry and keyboard skills
  • A high level of flexibility/adaptability and initiative to handle multiple diverse tasks and work as a team player with a customer focus
  • Demonstrated commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity and Work Health & Safety principles

Desirable Criteria

  • Front counter experience, cash handling and security awareness
  • Ability to effectively organise and prioritise workloads
  • Experience in the Authority Property System, CRM, HPE Content Manager, GIS and Outlook
  • Experience in Local Government and a good understanding of local government policies and practices
