The Role
The Technical Analyst is responsible for building, supporting and configuring highly available server infrastructure for the University's on-campus and Azure public cloud environments. Key areas of responsibility include the effective configuration, operation, and management of all server infrastructure environments (with primary focus on Azure public cloud) to help deliver resilient, highly performing/available systems and associated services to the University.

To be successful in this role you will need to have following key attributes/experience:
2+ years’ experience working in and managing large and complex server environments in production scenarios.

An understanding of system and cloud operations tooling (Azure cloud experience ideal).

Understanding of automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Terraform or similar. An understanding of distributed version control systems such as Azure DevOps, Git etc.

Understanding of Windows Server and Red Hat Linux Server operating systems.

Demonstrated hands-on experience with maintaining and managing server infrastructure, both physical and virtual.

Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, BASH, or similar and an understanding of JSON. Experience working with Infrastructure as Code, specifically Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, JSON and YAML will be highly regarded.

Problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate and articulate with team members to help resolve issues.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills and ability producing high quality verbal and written communication (particularly technical documentation skills).

You will also need to demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Courage and Personal Excellence.

Benefits & Remuneration
This full time, ongoing position attracts a remuneration of $88,973 - $95,993 per annum plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
