Made up of 0.7 teaching 0.3 Leadership, be part of teaching VCE students in individual or mixed methods of VCE Politics, VCE Physics and or VCE Specialist Maths. Lead a small team onsite in the new Hub, part of The Regional Learning Hub located with Gippsland TAFE's Morwell campus.

The School:
Virtual School Victoria (VSV) is the state's leading virtual school, offering over 150 online courses to students from Foundation to year 12. Annual enrolment in the mainstream program of over 5,000 students, 2000 students enrolled full time and around 3000 students mostly in year 11-12.

The VSV student cohort is both diverse and unique and provide education to:

- School based students who do no have access to the courses they need in their own school
- Students with chronic physical/mental health circumstances that make it difficult for them to attend mainstream schooling
- Students involved in elite level sports or performing arts
- Students travelling within VIC, AU or overseas
- Young adults wishing to complete their education in a way they find engaging
- Rural and regional students who due to distance, cannot attend a local school

The Role: Leading Teacher/Teacher

The Morwell Hub Leader will lead a small team based in the Hub and report to the VSV Assistant Principal with the role being 0.3 Leading and 0.7 teaching in methods of VCE Politics, VCE Specialist Maths and or VCE Physics face to face and online teaching.

Leading responsibilities:

- Lead the establishment of the Hub
- Build the capacity of the Hub team to create a blended learning environment to maximize student learning
- Lead the team in developing an understanding of the VSV Pedagogical Model including providing high-quality feedback
- Lead and provide support for adapting VSV learning materials in the blended learning environment
- Lead the development of programs that provide deep learning for all students through various learning tasks that are rich, and meaningful and encourage high-order thinking
- Use data and student voice to ensure that the programs are developed in accordance with the learning needs of students
- Lead the differentiation of the curriculum in response to individual learning needs
- Share and analyse student achievement data with staff to improve teacher practice
- Lead professional learning and develop to build teacher capacity in blended learning and teaching

We're looking for
- A teaching qualification recognised in Australia
- Registered, or who have the ability to be registered with VIT
- Leading teacher experience
- Highly skilled classroom practitioner
