Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced teacher leader to join our team at Schools (Government). The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the implementation of whole-school improvement initiatives, curriculum planning and delivery, and staff performance and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the implementation of whole-school improvement initiatives related to the school strategic plan and school priorities.
- Develop and implement effective curriculum planning and delivery strategies to improve student learning outcomes.
- Provide professional development and coaching to teaching staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Lead and manage staff performance and development, including the review of staff performance and the development of individual and team development plans.
- Teach demonstration lessons to model best practice and support the development of teaching staff.
- Develop and implement assessment and reporting policies and practices to improve student learning outcomes.
- Lead and manage the implementation of school operations and policies related to student welfare and discipline.
- Contribute to the overall leadership and management of the school, including the development of proposals for school council consideration.
Requirements
- Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
- Qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum area(s) specified for the position.
Working Conditions
- All staff employed by the Department and schools have access to a broad range of employment conditions and working arrangements.
- Appointment of successful applicants will be made subject to a satisfactory pre-employment conditions check.
- A probationary period may apply during the first year of employment and induction and support programs provided.
