**About the role**

As the Manager, Contracts and Procurement you will be responsible for the effective management of Parliament of Victoria's procurement framework.

This includes providing expert procurement advice to stakeholders to ensure that PoV receives best value for money and overseeing tender activity, ensuring vendors are treated in a fair, transparent and compliant manner.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Develop, implement and maintain organisational tender, purchasing and contract management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Victorian Government legislation, policy and frameworks and include internal and external audit recommendations.
- Oversee the coordination of all required tender activity including the evaluation, selection and implementation in compliance with Victorian Government procurement legislation PoV's contracts and tender processes.
- Providing authoritative, strategic, and operational support to Executive and senior leaders on procurement related matters.
- Negotiate and establish processes for managing supply of goods and services, including identification of future purchasing requirements and tendering processes.
- Coordinate contract management and analysis activities including the development of a central contract register and category analysis of vendor spending.

**About you**

You will bring relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent experience encompassing procurement or business administration, including:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to consult effectively with Executive and senior leaders.
- Demonstrated experience in negotiations with an ability to influence others with diplomacy, tact and discretion.
- Demonstrated experience in contract management and procurement ensuring best value for money, with the ability to manage complex contracts and manage probity in tendering and contracts.
- Advanced written communication skills, with the ability to prepare complex procurement and technical documents.
