**About the Role**

We currently have a 12 month parental leave contract available in our Marketing and Communications team as the **Marketing Engagement Lead**. This is a varied and interesting role being offered at 0.8 FTE, managing delivery of Dairy Australia’s Farmer Ambassador program which aims to train and support farmers and other industry talent to promote the Australian dairy industry.

A key focus of the role will be to recruit and train farmer ambassadors and manage their involvement in campaigns and industry promotion initiatives at both a national and regional level. These initiatives include school visits, video and photo shoots, virtual experiences, media interviews, case studies, farm tours, and social media.

Another component will be to support industry marketing engagement - ensuring farmers are aware of Dairy Australia’s upcoming campaigns and have the key messages and tools to amplify them.

The role is also responsible for managing marketing engagement requests and opportunities with the broader industry (e.g. in-kind support for Ag shows and relevant events, grants, partnerships). This includes managing Virtual Reality farm tour technology and the Dairy Destinations itineraries ensuring content is up to date and working with broader marketing team and regions to promote it.

Whilst parts of your role will be autonomous, there will be a need to develop strong links within Dairy Australia, to leverage knowledge and industry connections.

We are curious about your:

- Experience in communications/marketing in a commercial organisation
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and networking skills with the ability to connect and engage relevant industry members
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to translate analysis into actionable project and initiatives plans
- Knowledge of the Australian dairy industry or Agricultural sector
