As the Governance and Assurance Officer, you will be accountable for supporting the Institutes quality assurance and corporate compliance programs as part of the Institutes corporate governance and assurance framework.

You will also focus on contributing to the development and implementation of corporate quality assurance and compliance programs to ensure that the Institute meets legislative and regulatory requirements.

Your key accountabilities will be to:

- Assist in the development and implementation of the Governance and Assurance Audit Schedule and actions that support the achievement of Chisholm’s Strategic Plan
- Contribute to the development of reports and recommendations on the effectiveness of all governance and assurance programs against compliance benchmarks and identify areas for improvement that support excellence in service and delivery
- Monitor and follow up with the Business Areas on the implementation of rectification actions as part of the governance and assurance control effectiveness audit outcomes
- Maintain and monitor the Institute’s Compliance Management System, RelianSys, or its substitute system
- Build and maintain positive and open relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate governance and assurance processes
- Support the Governance, Audit and Risk team to implement strategies to embed best practice into day-to-day business planning.
- Support the development and facilitation of training programs and workshops to build capability across the Institute in corporate quality assurance processes

**ABOUT YOU**

You will have relevant tertiary qualification in Diploma of Quality Auditing and/or Qualified Lead Auditor and experience in supporting quality assurance, governance and compliance services to ensure corporate governance and compliance.

Crucial to your success will be your proven track record in the implementation of quality assurance and governance policies and procedures and ability to work in a small team and to tight deadlines.

Working knowledge of ISO 31000:2018 Risk Management and Exposure to the development and implementation of risk management policies and procedures with an exposure to the TAFE sector or VET and/or Higher Education environments are desirable.
