progression to Associate Research Consultant (base salary $65,000 +10.5%
superannuation. We are also in the process of transitioning to a 4 day
week.

**ROLE DESCRIPTION
**ORIMA Research Pty Ltd is an evidenced based, social research consultancy that conducts research
for Australian and State / Territory Government clients on a range of topics including healthcare and
wellbeing, employee engagement, education, environmental assets, policy, disability, sports
programs, communications, First Nations and more.

Our intention is to improve the wellbeing of people by contributing to high quality, evidence-based
public policy, public administration, service delivery, communications campaigns and management
decisions, through our market and social research, data analytics and advisory services. Our projects
have made a significant contribution to advancing evidence-based public policy across a broad range
of areas.

We are Australia’s largest provider of research, advisory and data services to the public sector and
are 100% Australian owned and are growing. We have offices in Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and
Brisbane and employ around 75 permanent staff as well as a national Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander Field Force of over 35 casual interviewers.

ORIMA Research is one of the few organisations in Australia to be transitioning to a 4 day work week
for established employees - and we offer it at full time pay rates. This means that after 12 months in
day work week (starting at 1 day off per month or a 9-day fortnight).

ORIMA takes an evidence-based approach to everything we do, including our decision to explore a 4
- day work week. The evidence relating to productivity gains and staff wellbeing is clear, and we are

**ORIMA Graduate Program
**ORIMA Research is committed to training and developing young Australians. Our formal graduate
program provides high-potential graduates with a pathway to a rewarding career in research and
consulting through transparent clear career progression within the company at the conclusion of the
graduate program.

Our graduate program is underpinned by a Competency Framework and a clear progression
pathway. The program provides the opportunity and support to learn and develop both quantitative
and qualitative research skills, as well as the technical and non-technical skills required for a
successful career in the research consulting industry.

Successful applicants will work across a number of teams and research disciplines to develop and
hone their consulting skills, as well as take part in a graduate project with peers from your intake.
We have a very strong, collaborative culture that is strongly benefited by our staff being co-located
in our State/Territory offices.

Graduates in the professional stream will be exposed to a broad range of research and consulting
skills (depending on the Division you are placed in) including:

- understanding and designing quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- analysing and interpreting quantitative (using SPSS and Excel and other tools) and

qualitative data
- producing charts and descriptive statistics
- organising and conducting research fieldwork, including online surveys, interviews and

focus groups
- project management and co-ordination
- problem solving, analysis and report writing.

We have 4-5 graduate positions available for our 2024 intake in Melbourne and Canberra.
Specifically, roles are available in:

- Quantitative/ Data Science research teams (Melbourne and Canberra)
- Qualitative research teams (Melbourne)

**REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**

Residency Status - Australian citizen only, due to the sensitive nature of many of our
projects.
