Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of Human Resources? We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an HR Assistant on a casual basis at our head office located in the western suburbs of Melbourne in Derrimut 3026. Bensons Trading Company is one of Australia’s leading retailers, wholesalers, and distributors of Showbags and Kids' Toys. We are widely known and loved for innovative fun, on-trend Showbags, and novelty items as well as our toy distribution partnerships.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supporting internal and external inquiries and requests related to the HR department.
- Compiling and maintaining employee records, both in paper and digital formats, including holiday and sickness leaves.
- Processing payroll and assisting with the documentation of employee compensation and benefits.
- Supporting HR-related training programs, workshops, and seminars.
- Entering employee data accurately into our computer database.
- Coordinating logistics for new hire orientations, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
- Writing and submitting reports on general HR activities.
- Overseeing HR events and meetings and coordinating effective management-employee communications.
- Continuously learning and implementing the latest HR best practices to improve workplace efficiency.
- Familiarity with the Deputy App is advantageous.
- Time sheet Approvals within the Deputy rostering app.

**Travel Coordination Responsibilities**:

- Assisting employees with travel arrangements, such as booking flights, accommodations, and transportation.
- Liaising with travel agencies, hotels, and service providers to ensure seamless travel experiences.
- Ensuring compliance with the organisation's travel policies and guidelines, including verification of expense reports and review of travel requests.
- Managing travel expense reimbursements, reviewing, and processing travel expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies.

**Additional Responsibilities**:

- Working alongside Upper Management, you may be required to assist with ad hoc administrative tasks.

**Skills**:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong data entry skills with a keen eye for detail.
