**The Role**

As we continue to uplift our maturity in our data capabilities, the **Head of Data Governance and Information Management** role will be critical to the successful delivery of the uplift initiatives.

You will be responsible for developing, leading and implementing the enterprise data governance & information management frameworks for MLC Life Insurance. You will succeed in doing so by providing leadership around data integrity, data governance and optimising the value to our business of data and information.

As **Head of Data Governance **and Information Management, you will also work closely with information security, data & analytics, privacy, risk and compliance teams to deliver on the data governance strategy and on our legal and regulatory obligations.

**About you**

An experienced Data Governance and information management professional, you possess a minimum of 10 to 15+ years of experience in various roles across data governance, enterprise information strategy, information management and business intelligence.

You possess a strong understanding and deep experience with data governance and information management principles, frameworks and enterprise-wide best practices, and the importance a robust data governance framework plays in a highly-regulated environment.

Lastly, you possess outstanding commercial acumen with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders across various seniority levels, with the ability to influence and drive key decision-making. Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is also essential.
