**The opportunity**:
We are looking for a dedicated individual to serve as our internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all things related to information, records, and their management. As the Records & Information Manager, you will play a crucial role in our organisation's success by overseeing our information and records management program, ensuring compliance with regulations, and facilitating the smooth operation of our electronic and physical records.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing efficient and effective management of our records, ensuring accurate documentation of business activities in alignment with operational guidelines, government regulations, and best practice standards. You will oversee the information management framework, ensuring easy access, retrieval, and disposal of records. Additionally, you will review our current records management system and propose and implement a new, effective information management tool/system. Compliance with the State Records Act and other relevant standards and policies will also be a key part of your responsibilities.

**About you**:

- Strong understanding of records management legislation, standards, policies, and procedures in the NSW public sector.
- Demonstrated specialist experience in managing a records management system.
- Experience in developing and delivering employee training modules or programs.
- Procurement experience across a range of goods and services and complexity.
- Experience or deep knowledge in developing business continuity frameworks.
- Bring innovation and drive to managing the Commission’s records management system.

In addition to these qualifications, you should have practical experience in records management or information management.

The Commission is a statutory body and reports directly to the NSW Government. We are an independent agency within the Planning and Environment cluster.

**Salary**:Clerk Grade 9/10 ($116,211 to $128,061) plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

**Recruitment pool**: A recruitment pool may be established to fill similar temporary or ongoing vacancies in the next 18 months.
