**About the Role**:
The Contracts Lead is a key member of ESTA's procurement team, responsible for managing and optimizing contract-related activities. The Contracts Lead oversees the contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance with government regulations, policies, and guidelines. This position is crucial in driving successful contract outcomes that support ESTA's strategic objectives.
- Contract Management, overseeing the entire contract lifecycle, from initiation and negotiation to execution, performance monitoring, and contract closeout
- Stakeholder Collaboration with a range of stakeholders, including internal legal, procurement, finance and program teams, to gather contract requirements, assess risks, and ensure contract terms meet operational and strategic needs
- Contract Compliance with government regulations, policies, and guidelines, incorporating your knowledge of the State Government of Victoria's contractual requirements.
- Risk Mitigation through the identification, assessment and mitigation of contractual risks, such as non-performance, scope creep, and potential disputes, by implementing risk management strategies and appropriate contract provisions.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting of contract performance, deliverables, and milestones to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and service level agreements.

**About You**:

- Proven experience in contracts management, with a focus on government contracts and procurement within the State Government of Victoria
- In-depth knowledge of government procurement policies, guidelines, and legal requirements specific to the State Government of Victoria
- Strong understanding of contract management principles, contract law, and risk mitigation strategies
- Advanced negotiation skills with the ability to lead negotiations and draft, review and finalise complex contracts with suppliers
