**The Role**
We’re committed to ensuring the safety of children and young people, by implementing and continuously improving best practice child safety. The Child Safe Advisor position will work to improve the child safe practices at City of Whittlesea by continually improving child safe practices, and continuing to embed the principles of child safety into the culture of CoW. It will also contribute to the effective management and investigation of child safe incidents, as well as coordinating CoW’s external-facing child safe initiatives and communications, and ensuring CoW has an effective presence in child safe networks and community initiatives.

**About you**
We’re looking for a professional who is passionate about improving the safety of all children in our community. You have a minimum of two-years’ experience in a compliance or policy-related position, experience in managing projects with complex organisational goals, have worked collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, and have a good understanding of the complexities of child safety. Preferably you will also have experience implementing the Victorian Child Safe Standards.
