**Your role**

This role represents Community Corrections as an expert and official member of the NSW Drug Court interagency team at a specified location. You will be required to provide advice, make recommendations and disseminate information between the Court team and Community Corrections. The Drug Courts of NSW provides an alternative to full time custody for eligible participants with drug dependencies that have committed certain offences. The Drug Courts of NSW address underlying drug dependency which has resulted in offending. Community Corrections is one partner agency in the NSW Drug Court model.

**What we’re looking for**

Your ability gather, summarise, and analyse information about the prior response to Community Corrections supervision, behaviour in custody, and how criminogenic risk factors can be managed in the community for people referred to the Drug Court Program. You will actively contribute to continual process improvement, and perform a vital quality assurance role, providing regular feedback and assisting in the continual development of the Community Corrections Officers in the Drug Court team. Being enthusiastic, non-judgmental, and professional are important aspects to achieving the requirements of the role. Resilience, initiative, high attention to detail and accuracy along with the ability to work under pressure in high volume, time critical environmental are the key attributes to succeed in this role

**Key Knowledge & Experience**
- Current experience in Community Corrections. Experience in a Parole Unit is beneficial
- Knowledge of the criminal justice system and the roles of NSW Police, NSW Health and Justice Health Forensic Mental Health Network, Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, and Legal Aid NSW
- Knowledge of relevant legislation including the _Crimes (Administration of Sentences) Act 1999_ and the _Drug Court Act 1998_
