**Why Your Role Matters**:
The Content & Collection Services Librarian manages various types of electronic and physical resources for UNSW Canberra's learning and research needs. They oversee and/or undertake a range of technical services from acquisitions and cataloguing materials to maintaining collections and improving digital services like the library website. They also work closely with UNSW Sydney Library to ensure effective access to online services and electronic resources for UNSW Canberra clients.
**Responsibilities**:
The Content & Collection Services Librarian will spearhead the delivery of excellent library collections and digital services in alignment with UNSW Sydney Library and will aid in managing the budget for information resources at the Canberra Library, ensuring regular monitoring and reporting to the Library Manager. As the Content & Collection Services Librarian, you will lead, oversee, and develop the Collection Services team to enhance their effectiveness, collaborate with relevant stakeholders to review, update, and implement operational collection development and management plans and activities, including oversight of the Canberra Library’s Approval plan.
**Who You Are**:
- a degree, or postgraduate qualification, in an information management related discipline.
- demonstrated experience in the successful provision and management of physical and electronic collection services including; acquisitions, cataloguing, and stock management.
- excellent attention to detail.
- experience in at least three of the following areas: approval plans, Library of Congress classification, MARC and/or RDA cataloguing, Australian copyright, or electronic resources management.
- demonstrated technical skills in the use, maintenance and troubleshooting of library related online delivery systems.
- high-level communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
