**About the Role**

We are excited to be on the search for an engaging and strategic leader for the Head of Aged Access & Inclusion to join our Community Services department.

Ideally, this role would suit a strong leader with experience in the Aged Care and Disability sector who thrives on building a positive and capable team to deliver contemporary and impactful outcomes for the community. If you understand the nuances working within a government framework and regulatory requirements that underpin aged care, diversity, equity, and inclusion then that will position you well in this role.

1 x full-time permanent position.

**Duties**:

- Lead the department in the development and implementation of innovative, efficient, and effective aged and disability services that respond to changing community needs and the evolving policy landscape
- Foster a positive and growth mindset amongst teams that generates collaboration and builds capability
- Review, develop and implement strategic planning and polices for Aged Access and Inclusion
- Provide strategic advice, reporting and evidence-based recommendations to Council and ELT
- Be comfortable with change, drive continuous improvement, be a thought leader and bring the department along for the journey
- Support the Manager Community Services to achieve divisional goals

**Skills and Experience**
- Tertiary qualifications in the behavioural sciences or a health-related discipline and/or substantial relevant industry experience
- Extensive leadership experience in the Aged Care sector
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to interpret demographic data, identify issues, and emerging trends and translate these into policy and a service response
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage, negotiate, advocate and mediate a broad range of stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to take the initiative, drive change and implement innovative solutions to deliver outcomes that benefit the community
- Understanding of the political and social issues relating to the local government sector
