Sydney, Australia ING Full time

When you come to work at ING, you’re joining a team where individuality isn’t just accepted, it’s encouraged.

In this newly created role as **Manager, Enterprise and ESG Risk**, you’ll join ING Australia’s **Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and ESG function** within the **Risk Management team**. You’ll support the development and maintenance of key infrastructure that provides a holistic, top-down, enterprise view of significant and emerging risks that impact ING’s strategic objectives.

The role will have the opportunity to develop deep expertise in banking risk management and governance. It requires a holistic overview of the banking landscape across retail and wholesale banking and all risk management functions.

You’ll be adept at bringing Stakeholders of all levels along the journey from concept and design to implementation of a new framework. You’ll be right at home building relationships, engagement and developing buy-in with business stakeholders, other Risk Management functions, internal audit, Executive Committee members, external peers, regulators and auditors.

We’re looking for someone to design a framework to manage **ESG risk** where the initial focus will be on **Climate Risk** and the related prudential guide. Following this your scope will expand to the full ESG spectrum for ING Australia.

Ready to make an impact?

**What you’ll do**
- Assist in the development, execution and ongoing enhancement of key ERM processes that support the identification and management of risks
- Support ongoing refinements and updates to key risk infrastructure components including Risk Management Approach, Risk Strategy, Risk Appetite Statement and Risk Governance artefacts
- Manage ad-hoc risk projects that develop and mature ING Australia’s risk management capability and processes, including responding to prudential changes
- Facilitate proactive risk management across the board by developing point of views and insights on emerging trends in the internal and external environment; providing insights from ERM processes to design measures to navigate risks that impacts ING Australia’s overarching strategy
- Collaborate across Line 1 and Line 2 Risk Management functions to ensure alignment and effective risk management across the frameworks
- Execute (emerging) risk identification, aggregated risk reporting, risk appetite framework and their impact on the overall strategy for ING Australia.
- Contribute to thematic reviews or deep dives into emerging risks to assess potential impact in ING.

**What we’re looking for**
- Experience developing frameworks, drafting policies, procedures, and developing and implementing new processes and systems
- Knowledge of specific prudential requirements including CPS220, CPS190 and CPG229 - would be regarded as highly advantageous
- Minimum 5-7 years practical experience in a risk and compliance function in the financial services industry
- Proven experience in creating high quality management information
- Analytical skills - ability to proactively identify and diagnose risk related issues quickly and provide business oriented solutions
- Ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders across all levels of management (both internally and externally), make recommendations and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes

**What’s in it for you?**
- Drop everything and learn with over 16,000 professional and personal development courses to choose from
- Discounted ING Health Insurance
- An additional Rest Day to support your wellbeing
- An IMPACT day to volunteer on approved sustainability activity
