We have a unique opportunity where we are seeking a Security Investigator Services Officer with experience in investigations and data analytics to assist in the operations of an enhanced personnel security capability. You will work within a large, prestigious federal department who safeguards Australia’s international interests and security. In this role you will provide a range of complex administrative and governance services.

This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of 2x 12 month extensions.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

- Identify threats to the departments security by combining and analysing multiple sets of data.
- Produce written assessments of security risks and recommendations to mitigate them.
- Interview staff to gather information to inform assessments of security risks.

To be successful in this role you should possess the following:

- Practical experience in conducting civil or criminal investigations in a Commonwealth government context (e.g., Security, Code of Conduct, fraud or regulatory investigations);
- Practical understanding of the Australian Government Investigations Standards (AGIS);
- The ability to discreetly handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
- Negative Vetting 1 is REQUIRED.
