**About this Role**

A fantastic opportunity currently exists within Latrobe City Council for a Manager Sustainability & Environment. Within this key role you will be responsible for leading the sustainability and environment functions which includes the delivery of the following services:

- Environment Services
- Landfill Services
- Resource Recovery & Utilities

**About You**

For this position we are seeking strong leadership, excellent people management skills and appropriate technical expertise to lead our Sustainability & Environment department.

You will have:

- A bachelor's degree in engineering or Environment and diverse experience in both operational areas and management, or equivalent career experience.
- Expertise and proven ability in successfully leading, managing and delivering the full range of services as outlined under specialist skills and experience, for at least two of the following and management level understanding of the remaining objectives:

- Resource recovery services
- Waste services and landfill management and operations
- Environment services or similar services
- Proficiency in developing strategy and leading change initiatives in a complex work environment.
- Extensive experience in introducing and refining measurement and key performance indicators and using that measurement to drive organisational efficiency.

Highly Desirable:

- Extensive (5 or more years) management experience.
- Post graduate qualification in business administration (or other relevant discipline).
- Relevant experience within local government or equivalent sector.
