**About this Role**

As Latrobe Catchment Landcare Network Facilitator & Projects Officer you will seek out, develop and support local partnerships to increase awareness of Landcare within the Latrobe Catchment and enhance communication strategies across the network area.

This role has a range of responsibilities including:

- Supporting Latrobe City Council in the development and delivery of environment education community activities such as workshops, school-based education programs, field days and seminars.
- Contributing to the production and implementation of Latrobe Catchment Landcare Network (LCLN) communication strategies.
- Supporting the delivery of Landcare projects and the development of on-the-ground natural resource management projects.
- Working with local Landcare Groups to facilitate information sharing, cooperation, collaboration and networking.
- Developing and maintaining partnerships and joint project opportunities with other organisations to ensure the objectives of the Landcare Network Board are fulfilled.

**About You**

For this position we are seeking an enthusiastic individual with the ability to proactively promote appreciation and participation in the preservation and enhancement of Latrobe City’s natural environment.

You will have:

- Experience or education in the development and implementation of public education programs relevant to natural resources management or environmental sustainability.
- Knowledge and understanding of the issues related to Landcare and sustainable land management within the Latrobe Catchment Landcare Network area.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to nurture effective partnerships with a wide rage of internal and external stakeholders.
- Understanding of community engagement processes including consultation, effective liaison and the ability to work collaboratively towards shared goals.
