The Coordinator, Disability Inclusion is responsible for the development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of disability inclusion programs across the University. The Coordinator, Disability Inclusion uses expertise in program management and stakeholder engagement to effectively develop, engage, promote and deliver strategic activities that result in equitable and inclusive work and study outcomes. This position provides strategic advice relating to disability inclusion, including legislative compliance and reports. Externally, the role requires engagement with community and professional partnerships to advance the Diversity and Inclusion Strategy into the community.

The position will provide advice on best practice in disability inclusion in workplaces and develop and implement project plans to affect change, and develop and deliver training programs and behavioural change actions in diversity and inclusion.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Seeking feedback on improvement opportunities from a diverse range of key stakeholders and implement change through appropriate channels and overcomes obstacles to change
- Planning and prioritising work and critical activities appropriately and recognising barriers to achieving outcomes, finding effective ways to deal with them and evaluates progress
- Consulting a diverse range of stakeholders and experts, not immediately involved, to gain a broader and deeper understanding of a specific issue
- Distilling the core issues from complex information, draws accurate conclusions and condense complex information and next steps into simple concise terms that others can understand
- Investigating and probing for the facts and identifying relevant solutions and selecting the most appropriate from the range of alternatives
- Building new and productive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders or key and influential individuals both inside and outside the University
- Striving for excellence and consult regularly with clients to clarify who requires the information, the purpose for which it is required, criteria for success and where and when advice and recommendation is required
- Communicating with confidence using examples and the most appropriate influencing technique for a given situation to increase understanding and support

**To be successful, you’ll have**:

- A Degree with at least 4 years subsequent relevant experience; or
- Extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields; or
- Demonstrated ability to affect change in the workplace through policy, culture and practice
- Ability to run and develop programs and projects to a budget and to evaluate the effectiveness of the interventions.
- Demonstrated experience in the successful coordination of equity, diversity and inclusion programs and projects.
