Our client is a boutique quantity surveying professional management consultancy offering a range of specialist advice and consultancy services to the property, construction and events industries.

They are currently seeking a skilled and motivated
**Quantity Surveyor** to join their team in Sydney CBD. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing costs and providing expert advice on variety of prestigious national but also international projects. There is an incredible knowledge and expertise inhouse and you will have firsthand opportunity to learn from the best in the industry.

**Responsibilities will vary depending on the nature and stage of the project, but can include and are not limited to**:

- Prepare accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents.
- Conduct cost planning and value engineering exercises to optimize project budgets.
- Provide expert advice on procurement strategies and contractual matters.
- Monitor project costs, track expenditure, and analyze variations from the budget.
- Prepare financial reports and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate potential risks and opportunities.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to negotiate contracts and resolve disputes.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor
- Strong knowledge of construction costs, contracts, and procurement processes.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard quantity surveying software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Membership or eligibility for membership with relevant professional bodies (e.g., AIQS, RICS) is desirable.

In this role, you will work for a range of clients or contractors, working in an office or on site.
