**ABOUT THE ROLE**:

- Permanent full time position available
- Registered Psychiatric Nurse 5, Chief Grade 3 Social Worker/Occupational Therapist, Psychologist Grade 4
- Based at Werribee Mercy Hospital
- Operational responsibility for the Emergency Mental Health Service
- Play a key role in service development
- Ensure delivery of effective evidence based, person centered care
- Lead and manage a team of both experienced and newly qualified staff

**ABOUT YOU**:

- Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse with successful completion of a specialist undergraduate psychiatric nursing program or a Post graduate Psychiatric/mental health nursing qualification, or
- An approved degree in Psychology and registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist with endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist, or
- Registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist, or
- Recognised degree Social Work and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers
- Previous experience in a leadership role essential
- Demonstrated clinical competency in mental status and risk assessment and the ability to priorities workload and coordinate clinical care with other services providers
- Excellent communication and liaison skills, as interaction with consumers and other staff is a key part of this role
- Ability to manage and lead others from a range of disciplines
- Have a passion for mental health care

**ABOUT US**:

- Mercy Mental Health (South West Area Mental Health Service) is a public mental health service supporting people in south west metropolitan Melbourne with severe and complex mental illnesses by providing acute and community-based care. Services are available to adults through acute inpatient programs, residential rehabilitation programs and crisis and community recovery-focused treatment programs. We also deliver inpatient and community specialist perinatal mental health services to women and infants in western Victoria.
