Ideally located on the northern fringe of Sydney and just an hour's drive from Newcastle, the Central Coast offers one of the best places in Australia to live and work.

This role will see you using your knowledge and experience in conservation management to assist in the implementation of strategies, conservation agreements and site management plans with actions which protect and enhance intrinsic biodiversity values.

In addition, you will also be providing technical and ecological advice on topics such as threatened species management and reserve management to a diverse range of stakeholders.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

**Key activities of this role include**:

- Assist with the preparation of contract briefs, tender evaluation and procurement and management of contractors to ensure compliance with tender and contractual requirements and effectively manage contracts and contractors to meet desired project outcomes, timeframes, and approved budgets;
- Undertake ecological survey and monitoring, flora and fauna monitoring, site inspections and asset condition assessments as required. This requires accurate data collection, record keeping and information management within Council’s systems;
- With guidance, respond to customer enquiries and reports of damage to natural assets, biodiversity, and reserve infrastructure in a timely manner.

This role provides a salary range between $36.47 to $43.75 per hour dependent on skills and experience + 10.5% superannuation with flexible/hybrid working arrangements available.
