**About the Team**

As part of our dedicated and innovative Community & Culture Directorate, the Cultural Services unit are responsible for ensuring Council's Cultural Strategy and its associated actions are delivered to the community. This includes the development, planning, organisation and staging of programs and events for the Musem & Gallery.

**About the Opportunity**

This is a key role which will lead the successful delivery of Council's Public Art Program, working collaboratively across Council and with key community stakeholders to ensure the cultural strategy is integrated at all levels.

In this role you will oversee the installation of public art projects, including maintaining records and documentation, as well as coordinating and managing public art maintenance schedules. You will also develop, write and scope public art project briefs in consultation with the relevant stakeholders, staff and public art professionals.

**What we can offer you**
- Permanent, Full time - 70 hours per fortnight however part
- Full time equivalent salary from $75,395.80 - $87,357.41 per annum plus 10.5% superannuation

**What we're looking for**

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Arts Management, Art Curatorship, project management, public art or equivalent experience.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Experience working with artists, community groups or arts organisations.
- Experience in public art, particularly the management and coordination of public art projects and project delivery.
- Experience in cultural strategy development and delivery.
- Highly developed oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, including effective negotiation, consultation, liaison, and consensus-building skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated experience managing a budget and budget planning.
- High-level organisational skills in planning, prioritising, and achieving outcomes to deadlines.
- Strong commitment to and proven ability to deliver a quality customer-focused service for diverse clients and user groups.
- Demonstrated ability and experience in undertaking community and stakeholder consultation.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to change and new systems, strategies, and procedures.
- Good knowledge of the public art field and current industry trends.
- Demonstrated commitment to EEO, WHS and the principles for a culturally diverse society.
- Must be fully vaccinated (minimum 2 doses) with an approved COVID-19 vaccine and provide Council with evidence of vaccination, or an accepted certified medical contraindication. Council reserves the right to confirm the validity of contraindications in accordance with NSW Health guidelines and to direct a Worker to undertake an independent medical examination in relation to the issuance of a medical contraindication certificate.
