We are seeking an experienced Aboriginal Heritage Specialist to join our team at SA Water. As a key member of our Science and Strategy group, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of capital and operational programs to manage risks to cultural heritage.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, review, and implement corporate management frameworks to provide expert guidance in cultural heritage matters and protection of Aboriginal heritage.
- Support SA Water's infrastructure delivery program and operational activities in line with relevant legislations and guidelines.
- Collaborate with Aboriginal communities and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with various stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
- Provide expert advice and service to ensure effective communication and engagement with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia.
- Appropriate tertiary qualification or professional experience in Aboriginal heritage management.
- Demonstrated understanding of Commonwealth and State legislation relevant to Aboriginal heritage.
- Knowledge of Aboriginal heritage and its management.
- Strong knowledge, understanding, and demonstrated experience in communicating sensitively and effectively with First Nations People.
- Demonstrated understanding of issues specific to Aboriginal heritage management.
- Sound understanding of the principles of environmental impact assessment and their interaction with Aboriginal heritage management.
As an Aboriginal Heritage Specialist at SA Water, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team and contribute to the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure efficiently and effectively. You will also have the chance to develop and implement policies and strategies relating to Aboriginal cultural heritage.
