We have an exciting opportunity in our Ambulance Clinical Systems team within Clinical Application Services for an Infrastructure Team Lead.

Reporting into the Associate Director of Clinical Applications Services you will be part of the team delivering the mission critical systems the NSW Ambulance Service relies on to provide 24 x 7 critical care. A key aspect of the role will be to lead the development of the platforms and capabilities including infrastructure (on-premise and cloud), databases, backups and restores, monitoring, security and technical interfaces to deliver the clinical systems for the NSW Ambulance Service. More broadly, you will work closely with customers, vendors and other product owners within eHealth to identify, prioritise, document and communicate the work that our Infrastructure, Cloud and Database Engineers deliver to ensure the services we provide meet business demands.

**What you will do**

As an integral member of the Ambulance Clinical Systems team, you will:

- Lead and own all elements of the products lifecycle for Ambulance Clinical Systems, Technical Services.
- Lead, develop and manage a team of engineers to achieve agreed service levels and optimal system and operations performance.
- Lead the iterative delivery and development of the technology components (across the whole platform stack - on premise or Cloud).
- Partner with other technical services and product delivery teams to ensure deliverables meet the highest quality and are delivered efficiently utilising a data-driven approach.
- Manage processes, engage and develop stakeholder relationships with customers, vendors and other product owners to ensure the priorities are managed and delivered.
- Engage and regularly collaborate with the internal quality assurance team and champion software quality to optimise the total cost of ownership and life expectancy of a product and management of agreed service solutions and outcomes.

**About you**

The skills, knowledge and experience we are looking for in you are:

- Extensive Expertise: A deep understanding and expertise in infrastructure, databases, backups and restores, monitoring, security, and technical interfaces for both on-premises and cloud-based technologies.
- Full Lifecycle Ownership: Experience leading and owning the entire lifecycle of technical products, including provisioning, monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, automation, upgrades, performance optimization, and continuous improvement.
- Managing Complex Environments: Experience managing complex infrastructure environments, including dated technologies and mission critical systems, and the ability to address challenges related to system failures and backup processes for these systems.
- DevOps and Agile Mindset: Experience with DevOps, Agile methodologies, and automation to drive the team's culture and technical capabilities.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and manage a team of engineers effectively, including the ability to set clear goals, provide guidance, and motivate the team to achieve agreed service levels and optimal system performance.
- Culture of Continuous Improvement: Experience fostering a culture of constructive and continuous improvement to drive workplace culture initiatives and promoting a positive and collaborative environment.
- Excellent Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage and develop relationships with customers, vendors, and other product owners.
