Parks Victoria seeks Regional Coordinator of Land Use and Statutory Planning based in Melbourne Region to lead diverse planning matters.

Parks Victoria are looking for a Regional Coordinator Land Use and Statutory Planning Officer to lead on a diverse range of land use and statutory planning matters, environmental policy and projects to deliver across the Melbourne Region.

**About the role**

As the Regional Coordinator Land Use and Statutory Planning Officer, you will:

- Help lead and contribute to key projects that ensure the protection of parklands and habitat
- Manage a small team on land use and planning matters across the Melbourne Region
- Lead the delivery of programs around open space and community sport planning
- Review existing legislation and policy and provide advice on public land management
- Confidently communicate to an audience across varied levels of understanding
- Work across the Melbourne region from the Yarra and Dandenong National Parks, inner urban parks such as Albert Park, and in the park establishment of new ones out in the growth areas of west and north Melbourne

**We're looking for someone with**:

- A tertiary qualification relating to Planning, Natural Resource Management or Environmental Science and/or equivalent experience in a similar field is desirable
- Proven experience in a statutory planning role
- Sound working knowledge of environmental, land use and statutory planning, procedural requirements and legislation
- Analytical problem-solving skills
- An ability to develop and nurture effective stakeholder relationships
