About the role
Under direction of the Regional Coordinator Land Use and Statutory Planning, the Land Use and Statutory Planning Officer is responsible for providing advice and support around statutory and land use planning requirements within a regional setting. The position provides expert advice and support within the region in relation to statutory and land use planning, estate management, public land administration and Native Title to ensure that planning decisions are compliant with legislation, policy and guidelines. You will be a direct point of contact for regional Parks Victoria staff and with the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) and Councils for most land use and planning referral matters within the region. You will also ensure coordination of regional statutory planning referral responses, in accordance with delegated level of authority.

**We're looking for someone with**:

- A tertiary qualification relating to Planning, Natural Resource Management or Environmental Science and/or equivalent experience in a similar field is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in provision of expert and technical advice and support, particularly demonstrating an understanding of land use and statutory planning matters.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of land use and statutory planning, procedural requirements and legislation.
- Demonstrated experience in analytical problem solving.
- A current employee Working with Children Check.
- A current Victorian driver's licence is required.
- A current Resume
- A Cover Letter OR A cover letter addressing the Key Selection Criteria (KSC) as outlined in the position description.
