City of Parramatta has an exciting career opportunity for a qualified tradesperson to lead our growing Parks Infrastructure team

**About the role**

As the Team Leader you will be responsible for leading field based operational employees to delivering trades-based work on our fixed assets including buildings, playgrounds, shelters, and sporting courts to ensure the long-term management, condition, and usability of the assets.

This is a permanent full-time position working within the Parks and Open Spaces team reporting to the Coordinator Parks Infrastructure.

On a daily basis you will:

- Lead the team by overseeing all activities, plan, organise and decide how to accomplish tasks, set goals, communicate, and distribute information within the team.
- Undertake the day-to-day management of staff, including dispute resolution and assist the technical officers and/or Coordinator with performance management. Mentor new starters and others within the team to undertake on-the-job training for the team.

**About You**

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum certificate III qualification in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, building and construction and landscape construction _relevant to role/area of specialisation. _
- Hold a current NSW C, Class Driver’s license
- Possession of a White card
- Asbestos Awareness

We are offering an attractive weekly remuneration from $1,405 to $1,548 plus 11% superannuation.
