The Principal Support Analyst is an experienced and specialist resource within the Department's Families portfolio reporting into the Program Manager.

**Accountabilities**
- Employ appropriate maintenance, support and incident management processes and procedures.
- Provide timely communication to users on the status of their service requests and incidents.
- Ensure problem prevention methods are continually applied to improve service levels and reduce costs.
- Manage Post Incident Reviews (PIR) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) exercises in conjunction with all key stakeholders and IT suppliers, and manage the related processes, including the translation of outcomes into traceable actions.
- Act as the departments representative for vendor led incidents and post incident reviews.
- Participate in disaster recovery activities as required.
- Design and deliver enhancements, including taking responsibility to:

- Work with Product Owners and Agile development teams to review impact of new business requirements.
- Contribute to technical aspects of key areas such as business requirements, change impact assessments, change implementation plans, change tickets, change roll-out plans etc.
- Ensure capacity, availability, security and service support requirements are considered in all IT changes.
- Develop, test, deploy and monitor required IT changes in line with change implementation plans.

**Technical Expertise**
- Proven experience and success as a principal developer in a complex ICT Agile environment.
- Experience in integration patterns, service development (SOAP Web Services and RESTful APIs), API management (API security and usage policy definition) and SOA framework, as well as messaging formats (JSON and XML).
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud services, in particular Azure PaaS services (Web, API and Functions App, Azure SQL database etc.)
- Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and PowerBI.
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence concepts and practices including Data Warehousing, Data Marts, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Bricks and Azure Analysis Services.
