**About the Team**

Within the Corporate Services branch of TfNSW is the Transport Shared Services (TSS) responsible to provide business support to more than 26000 customers. Additionally, TSS services over 300,000 external customers ranging from Local Government representatives to citizens. Over the last year, TSS has implemented a strategy to lead the direction of the organisation towards workforce digitisation, emphasising customer experience and growing the business’s value proposition and services.

**The Opportunity**

Are you someone who enjoys taking ownership, loves challenges and is thrilled by seeing tasks through while balancing the stakeholder expectations related to cost, quality and timelines?

The main responsibilities would include:

- Manage a team of procurement professionals, as required, including work allocation, capability development and performance management to deliver the required commercial and development outcomes
- Provide procurement sourcing advice and guidance to a team of procurement professionals and internal and external stakeholder groups
- Identify areas for streamlining operations and enhancing efficiency. Recommend and implement process improvements to optimize procurement workflows. Evaluate effectiveness of processes and identify opportunities for improvement, including risk management, optimization of available technology and behavioural change. Actively participate in improvement forums and projects
- Support supplier evaluations and negotiations to secure favourable terms and competitive pricing
- Communicate and engage with stakeholders at various levels to adhere to procurement policy
- Ensure development and maintenance of procurement documentation, including policies and procedures
- Provide information during budgeting and forecasting processes, supporting the assessment of the impact of commercial decisions.
- Provide input to reports on progress against priorities/procurements and social and cost saving targets.
- Develop and draft commercial terms in conjunction with the business users for contracts and statements of work.
- Manage and deliver procurement projects as directed and participate in post implementation reviews to ensure benefits realisation and understand lessons to be learned

**About You**:
We are looking for a sourcing and procurement professional who has the ability to mentor and guide a team to ensure procurement compliance and best practice procurement management. It has to be someone who has experience in continuing improvement and enhancement of procurement and sourcing procedures while coordinating with professionals across domains, levels and divisions, to maintain their finger on the pulse and with a proven ability to escalate whenever needed and report on the ongoing progress.

You are a problem solver, self-driven, result oriented and focussed professional with the ability to collaborate, lead and influence whenever necessary, are open to working in a highly dynamic environment. Having sound experience of working within procurement ideally related to ICT space (including goods and services), you are a motivated individual who enjoys working autonomously yet thrives on building relationships with the various stakeholders you interact with.

To be successful, you must have excellent negotiation, leadership, verbal and written communications skills and the ability to forge and develop effective working relationships across a wide range of stakeholders, internally and externally.
