**About the Company**:
Davidson Recruitment are currently recruiting for an A05 Governance and Assurance Officer to commence a temporary contract starting as soon as possible. As the preferred Government partner for local, state and federal positions, this is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking for an interesting, governance-centred position with attractive rates per hour, central locations, and the opportunity to be involved in a leading QLD transport project.

**About the Role**
- Review standing agendas and minutes from committees and working groups highlighting areas of potential opportunities to enhance accountability and efficiencies.
- Work closely with project managers and committee chairs to ensure clarity of understanding of the Delivery Authority’s governance and assurance frameworks.
- Work with the Director, Assurance, to undertake assurance activities across the suite of governance meetings.
- Develop and prepare assurance outcome reports and recommendations as it relates to the purpose of this position.
- Identify trends, and potential improvements in governance documentation - the role requires the ability to analyse multiple minutes, agendas, reports and briefs to ensure compliance with the relevant framework and identify opportunities for improvement.

**About You**
- High level understanding of contemporary governance and assurance practices in a Public Sector Agency.
- High level stakeholder engagement skills - the role requires the ability to work with multiple teams both internal and external to the Delivery Authority.
- High level communication skills - the role requires the drafting of reports and briefings.
- Ability to work autonomously - the Delivery Authority fosters a highly engaged and team-based environment, nonetheless this role requires the ability to work autonomously.
- Experience in Internal Audit in a project environment is highly desirable.
