**Job Summary**

A Residential Care Officer provides care, supervision, and support to individuals in residential facilities, including children, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring specialized care. The role involves implementing tailored care programs, ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of clients, and maintaining a safe and nurturing living environment.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide day-to-day care, supervision, and emotional support to clients in residential settings. Foster a safe and supportive environment for personal growth and development.
- Develop and execute individualized care and support plans tailored to the specific needs of clients. Facilitate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Monitor and address clients' behavioral and emotional issues with sensitivity and professionalism. Implement strategies to encourage positive behaviour and manage challenging situations.
- Maintain detailed records of clients’ progress, including incidents, achievements, and challenges. Provide regular progress updates to management, families, and stakeholders as required.
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and community organizations to coordinate comprehensive care. Advocate for clients' rights and ensure their voices are heard in decision-making processes.
- Ensure that residential facilities comply with health, safety, and hygiene standards. Participate in regular staff meetings, training, and professional development activities.

**Skill & qualification**:

- At least 2 year experience as a Residential Support Worker (SIL)
- Experience in supporting participants with behaviour of concerns and/or complex medical needs
- Epilepsy, Anaphylaxis and Manual Handling
- Mealtime Management
- First Aid with CPR
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Good written and spoken English
- Drivers license and reliable vehicle

**Employment Conditions**
- Shift work, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, may be required.
- Adherence to organizational policies and procedures, including safeguarding and confidentiality.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- On call
- Rotating roster
- Weekend availability

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Work Location: In person
