As part of Events South Australia’s Acquisition & Development Team, the Coordinator provides administrative support to the General Manager and coordinates administrative processes across the whole team to maximise efficiency.

The Cordinator oversees the events calendar, provides assistance in researching new major event opportunities and procuring regional events for South Australia, and supports the fulfilment of SATC’s event sponsorships.

Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

- Provide administrative support to the General Manager to maximise efficiency across the Acquisition & Development section.
- Coordinate administrative and project management processes across the team including WIPs, internal meetings, stakeholder meetings, and information sharing requirements.
- Oversee the South Australian major and sponsored events calendar, ensuring that it is kept up to date and that information is communicated to internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the planning, implementation and evaluation of Events South Australia’s strategic plan and the Acquisition and Development Operational Plan in conjunction with the General Manager, Acquisition & Development.
- Represent the SATC and ESA at tourism and event industry and inter-agency forums, as required.
- Undertake research and assess opportunities to bid for new, existing or proposed major events, including studies and data analytics to determine the viability of tourism, economic, media, social and environmental benefits of such events to the State.
- Provide account management to SATC sponsored events and adhere to the SATC contract and procurement processes during the event sponsorship contract management process.
