**Our client, a leading renewable energy company, is seeking a talented and motivated Business Development Associate to join their team.**

As a Business Development Associate, your primary focus will be on analyzing and identifying new market opportunities within the renewable energy sector. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in originating and driving mergers and acquisitions (M&A) opportunities to enhance the company's portfolio growth.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, market gaps, and potential business opportunities within the renewable energy sector.
- Assess market potential and evaluate the feasibility of new projects or acquisitions, considering factors such as financial viability, regulatory environment, and technological advancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop business cases and financial models to support decision-making and evaluate the potential profitability of new opportunities.
- Originate, evaluate, and negotiate mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships to drive portfolio growth and expand market presence.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including industry partners, financial institutions, consultants, and government agencies.
- Prepare comprehensive business proposals, investment packages, and presentations for internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Monitor and analyze industry and competitor activities to stay abreast of market dynamics and identify strategic opportunities.
- Support the development and execution of strategic initiatives and partnerships to drive revenue growth and increase market share.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth integration of new acquisitions and effective execution of business development strategies.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies related to renewable energy.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in business development, market analysis, or related roles within the renewable energy sector.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to perform financial modeling and analysis.
- Familiarity with mergers, acquisitions, and partnership strategies, including deal origination and negotiation.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas and influence stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with internal teams and external partners.
- Self-driven and proactive with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving targets and driving business growth.
- Passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
- Knowledge of the Australian energy market and regulatory environment is a plus.
