**Job Description**:
The Service Consultant plays a key role within Operations, working closely with the various administration and Support Teams. Responsible for managing complex tasks, escalations, assisting with workflow management and driving process improvements across the wider business.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Allocated work completed within agreed Service standards
- All correspondence to be accurate, using checklists, standard letters and professional wording
- Assist other Service teams in other areas (including Call Centre) during peak periods
- Ability to demonstrate organisation skills and communicate effectively with the team and peers
- Undertake project work as required
- Identify opportunities for process improvements
- Ensure adherence with TAL’s procedures & policies and industry regarding Compliance Rules and their Importance
- Resolves customer problems and complaints, escalating where required

**Qualifications**:

- Strong written, oral capability
- Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and document these utilising various techniques and formats, e.g. user stories, process flows, wireframes.
- Good attention to detail and a rigorous focus on delivering quality output
- Experience working in an administration environment
- Technical knowledge of Life Insurance industry is advantageous
- Understands the importance of building positive working relationships
- Demonstrates knowledge of own role, business principles, policies, practices and trends. Knows where to access relevant data and information and how to use it.
- Thinks innovatively and challenges the status quo
